nbr vs hnbr o rings

Project details

NBR and HNBR are both nitrile rubber, but HNBR is hydrogenated nitrile rubber, and the two differ in performance.

The physical and chemical properties of NBR nitrile rubber molecular formula are generally within the temperature range of G: -40~100 ℃, low temperature resistance G: -55~100 ℃, high temperature resistance G: -30~125 ℃ (air) -30~150 ℃ (oil), and various forms of O-rings, gaskets, rubber hoses, and buffer pads are used in oil resistant environments.

HNBR hydrogenated nitrile rubber has better temperature and oil resistance compared to NBR, making it an ideal sealing material for various hydraulic and lubricating oil environments. Due to its excellent resistance to new refrigerants, HNBR is currently widely used in new refrigerant environments such as R134A, R410A, and R407C.

Therefore, there are differences in performance and application between NBR and HNBR, which need to be selected based on specific usage needs.
